Lots of uphill traffic early this season. Looks like the mountain is paying attention and may keep it tight until there is a little more space on piste.

You can go uphill at Saddleback before their planned opening day (12/15)
TEMPORARY UPHILL POLICY 12/06/2020
In light of the current storm dropping 20-24" of white gold on us, Saddleback will now permit uphill travel, as long as the snow conditions and on mountain work requirements permit.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. Try to park all vehicles away from any plowing operations and follow all instructions and/or signs regarding uphill travel paths.
2. Also please be advised that heavy equipment is in operation on the mountain and we ask you to avoid such areas at all times.
Thanks, be safe and have fun!

I will bet that place was tracked out by Sunday am.......

Opening day is scheduled for one week from tomorrow, Tuesday 12/15/20...there were some nice posts from people getting the goods and it seemed far from tracked out. There's a lot of mountain, plus they mowed all the trails this summer and have been blowing top-to-bottom so.......

The human fund should host one or two of these Great idea. We can all give a ticket for the event to each other for Christmas.

If they need people to go uphill during the day they should have a dedicated route (maybe several) with signage so down hill traffic knows the risks. Maybe some roped off areas where there are blind corners. Some of us can’t make the top in 30 minutes (very few can) and going up with skiers coming down is a challenge.

Agreed, key point being "several"....it cant just be one route. I have shared my vision with ski patrol for 4-6 route to tops of Locke, Barker, Spruce and NP that can be very safe for all......I saw 3 near collisions today. Man, that kid in the great jacket...who brought him to ski at SR?

Today, on Lights Out one turkey going uphill at like 1:15pm and he was looking like everyone skiing down was in the wrong. Nutcase.
