What a great scene up in Bethel yesterday, a few observations:
1) New trail in Bethel Town Forrest is open and looks to be a fan favorite. Great to see so many people enjoying it and I was blown away by the range of skills/age of the riders, all comers...love it. Splaffy, great seeing you and the family.
2) BVT/Gould trails riding great, also great to see the crowds out
3) Awesome vibe over at Mt A...lots of riders using lift/climbing and their new deck is a great post ride set up. Brad Hooper with some live music too, I really missed the live music. Gregg running an awesome program over there.
Very impressed, if you haven't been up to ride...come on up.

And to add, Little Bacon and Big Bacon rode very well today. Great work by the trail maintenance folks.

MB Great to see you and the Mrs as always. BCF was slammed Saturday morning with lot full when we left with a mix of hikers and bikers. Tribute needs some rain but that trail is a blast. Great flow of climb to downhill. Nice jumps other features with routes around. Can't wait to see how the uphill and downhill trails will be. BVT to Gould makes for a great ride as well. Bacon is a family favorite as well, just wish it was closer. I hear you can connect BVT and Bacon with a little road riding but I don't know how to do it yet. Greg and the crew have done a great job at Mt A with the trails and the beer garden and food. I love the vibe there, just wish the lift was faster.

Easy connection on “RT 95” via BVT across the Vernon St, you come out Confirer Rd and hang a right a few miles on Vernon to Bacon Hill. Would be great to have a connector that runs parallel to Vernon to avoid road riding....hopefully in time.

Couldn't agree more MB. The MTN Bike scene in the area has been a welcome breath of fresh area and growth. The trail building is supurb. What they have done at Abram with the camps, beer garden, and overall vibe is so infectious. I'd like to see we are at the beginning of what will be an extensive trail system. Keep riding, supporting, and encouraging others to get out there.

This has been a record-breaking season for biking in general, according to most people I have have talked to, lots of people getting back into it or starting new. Hopefully it will carry forward once things get back to “normal” whatever that is going to look like.

I was speaking with my “bike guy” on Friday. He has no bikes left and is having trouble getting parts for service. He is concerned if we have now seen 3 years worth of bike sales in one year and demand won’t be consistent over next few years.

MB, I need to get up and ride some of the MTB stuff with you. We camped in Franconia, NH this weekend and our campground was right off of the conservation/trail network there. Didn't bring my bike, but we hiked with the dog on some of the trails (7 miles worth) Sunday and they are super nice there. Take off right from downtown and you can ride all the way out and up to Mittersill and Cannon Peabody bases. Really sold me on looking at that town but if Bethel is building out as well, I need to check it out (and Mt. A, I owe Gregg a visit anyway).

Trails got some rain today and are riding very well. Lots of chatter on back channels. If anyone is around Saturday and wants to ride, I am happy to lead for those that are new to the trails....or not quite sure how they are all connected. All comers ride, meaning no one gets left behind. Just ping me here or private message and we can coordinate.

Camping at South Arm this weekend, but looking forward to hooking up for a ride in the coming weeks.
