Yesterday and today, encountered people skinning up skier’s left of Ecstasy again.. 2 people side by side this morning, so worse with sticking more into the trail. Today I was in a position to stop, so I did and let them know that uphill travel wasn’t allowed on that particular trail. They didn’t seemed concerned in the least haha. I just left it with, “read the uphill policy and watch out for the blind corners you’re approaching with people not expecting you to be there climbing up at them”. There you go...you tried. Xmas Eve super foggy, zero visibility with the fog, coming through the mid-station of Sunday Punch cautiously and two folks skinning up Punch right under the skiers right headwall, basically invisible, he's taking video of her skinning...even the days the mountain blocked uphill travel there were plenty out there. My point is follow the rules and use some common sense.

MB, I did actually stop and look for the lollipops, they are there. Though I only saw one on uphiller's left on Grand Rapids. Didn't stop since I had to go back out and carve on ice to clear this person's way.

That’s a death wish. I think the mt should more clearly mark no uphill on both Grand Rapids and ecstasy. I will mention to patrol buddies in am.

Could someone point me to the uphill travel policy on the SR web site? I look a few times and heard it is on there but I can’t seem to find It. Thanks

Saw some buddies coming up Escapade yesterday. People on NP lift yelling at them trust Escapade was not an uphill trail. They are wrong. Buddies ignored.

Saw one this afternoon with earbuds in coming up Lights Out across Northern Lights and sure enough, was going to continue up Kansas. I called out to him and pointed to the no uphill sign. Could tell he was pissed, but turned around and climbed Northern to Aurora. I only saw one sign on climbers right and he was on the left, but that is definitely a death wish with the blind corner after the only drop most try to carry speed around. The uphill travel policy is a pain to find now on the website. They should hyperlink it on the mountain report every day.

Loss of ticket (if they even have one).

I didn’t observe any rules being broken today. Just saying. And yes take their passes if they break rules. Oh, Northern lights as awful at 810 today.

Uphillers have never bothered me on any trail. If something needs policing it’s the groups of 6-7 that stop in the middle of a trail just over the head wall (pick a trail) without a clue people are coming down at 30-40 MPH. It’s the skiers responsibility to know what’s in front of them but sometimes this is a challenge.
