Great start for Yanks and Sox. Yanks 6 out of 7 from two top contenders. Gotta stall until Cole gets back.

We escaped Oakland with a sweep, but that felt like an escape after the first game against a gawd awful team. We'll see how Sox do against contenders when they get to the home opener.

Sox have been fun to watch, enough to keep me up late a few nights. We’ll see how long they can keep it up. Oakland is a godawful team.

And just like that, reality comes crashing in for the Sox. Moving and emotional opening day pregame festivities and then the team falls flat and gets swept out of its home opener series. Yup, team still not competitive.

OK, here's positive. They finally won their first home game and did it with a kid called up from Worchester to start. Let's see if they can carry this through the weekend now. Starter ERA is damn good currently, Pen isn't too shabby. If the D can keep it clean, they will be competitive to even good. If the D looks like a single A club, well that about sums up their chances then.

What a game last night for Houck! CG shutout with his ERA now sub 2.0. This would be huge for the Sox if he is finallyy developing into a horse of a starter like I thought he could be. Of course, Whitlock onto the IL now joining Pivetta. So are starters are dropping like flies it seems.

Well…. I never thought it would be possible but Bobby Dalbec has now got me saying there is someone worse than Jackie Bradley Jr. when it comes to hitting. He’s at .031 and has struck out 18x in 32 at bats. Stevie Wonder would statically make more contact. I don’t believe Dalbec could hit the water if he fell out of a boat. 🤦🏻♂️
